The owners of this new-construction home in Noblesville, Indiana, wanted to upgrade to PVC decking and choose a finish that looked at home in their neighborhood. Decks by Kelly O’Tools reviewed decking options with them and built the deck with TimberTech French White Oak boards, composite railing, and fascia trimmed in white PVC.

French White Oak gives the broad deck surface a light, wood-look finish beside the home’s pale brick. White PVC fascia covers the exposed deck edge, while the white railing components frame the perimeter and stairs. From the sliding door, the deck opens into a wide, uninterrupted area; a short stairway connects it to the paved path and yard.

This was a deck for a new home, not a replacement of an existing one. The material conversation began with the owners’ preference for PVC and the question of which decking option would suit the surrounding homes. The finished combination keeps the board color, railing, and white trim visually connected without relying on a contrasting feature to define the space.
